I want to get only the back half of my Silver 2006 Honda Civic Coupe tinted, but I don't know what percentage to get. Which percent would be the best, that would match the rest of the car?

Are you in Sunny Seattle or drab and dreary San Diego?

Looking cool is one thing, but being able to see at night and in rain is an important factor.

You know those dark rainy nights when the wet streets seem to just absorb the light and you can't get enough light? If you check over your shoulder (as you should) before a lane change then tinting will adversely affect your ability to see even more. It could easily increase the possibility for an accident.

If I were hit by someone like that, then I would argue in court that the person intentionally reduced the cars safety for purposes of style, and I would use words that would make a judge wonder why such people are allowed on the roads (I was going to list them, but I didn't want to offend you).

I like tinting for the functionality of reducing the greenhouse effect of the car getting hot in the summer. But less tinting is safer, and safety beats styling on the road every time.

I live in New Jersey, where you can tint the back half any percentage, but you can't tint the front half at all
