Default Car Trouble.... Someone that knows what they are talking about please.?

My 2002 Honda Civic EX has been aligned, has brand new tires, and brakes aren't squeeking, but the car pulls really hard to the right and when I brake the steering wheel and front of the car vibrates. What does this mean?

You have warped rotors. The rotor is supposed to be smooth and flat all the way around. In your case there are high and low spots that basically catch and releas the brake pads as they are applied. They also catch the pads without you having to hit the brakes.Seems pretty cut and dried to me.

warped rotors may be one of the reasons for the vibration. check your calipers or have them checked out too...one could be frozen or not even working at all...good luck!

When did the problem show up? Was it all of a sudden or did it slowly become worse? Does the brake pedal move up and down when applying the brakes? You could have a problem with a brake calliper and or rotor. The car will pull to the side that is doing the most braking. If you have a calliper that is not applying properly it will pull to the opposite side.If you have a warped rotor it will shake the car when applying the brakes.Did it start after having the tires installed, if yes then the wheels could have been over tightened!Could be a CV shaft! You should take it to a shop that you trust!Give them as much info as possible on the history of the car and when the problem occurs.Get a written quote on the repairs needed.

There are 2 answers I will give you because you asked two questions.1) The pull- if you have had an alignment and new tires there are two things that can cause a pull that are not related to the alignment. One is the tire itself, a tire can cause a severe pull due to the way the tire was made. Its not a bad tire but sometimes the tread will catch the road wrong and pull the carThe fix is to swap the front tires from left to right. if the pull changes direction then there is you problem. the way to fix that is rotate the new tires and swap sides from the original position. this will help wear the pull off of themthe other tire pull problem can come from low tire pressure, you could have picked up a nail in the new tire and it can make a car pull pretty bad if it gets low enough on air.2) The brakes- if the steering wheel shakes when you slow down then your rotors are warped. its a simple fix, just get the front rotors turned. that should solve ithope this info helps

sounds like your rotors are shot.
