Default is the engine in my 92 accord and interfearance engine?

2.2 liter f22a1 i belive pertty sure it is not but my buddy says it is got me wondering

I know how to find out. But it might wreck the engine.

your buddy is way wrong, the f22a1 is a real good engine. properly maintaned it can run up to 200k or even more with out a problem

Yes, it is an interference engine, like most (if not all) automotive Honda engines. However, there is quite a bit of room for error. When someone breaks a timing belt with a Honda engine, there's about roughly a 50% chance that they did internal damage. I base that "chance" off of hearing stories from people on various forums over the past 6 years. Personally though, I've only seen 1 engine have internal issues, out of the 5 or so engines I've seen break a t-belt.
