I know that hondas can get alot Im just asking what other people think.

Well, it depends on how well it has been kept up, how much moner you want to spend to keep it up, and your driving habits. A normal Honda should get at least 200,000 if not 300,000 before you start having major engine repairs. But really it all depends on the dirver/owner. Cars can be neglected and then of course the life of the vehicle is shortened

my cousin is rolling in a 97 prelude... they are pretty good.. they wont break down easily also being a honda.. the miles part i dont know.. but alot thats all i gotta say.

I don't know about your 97 Prelude, but I can tell you that I owned an 88 Prelude and it had 80,000 on it when I bought it and I sold it with over 230,000 several years ago, and the girl I sold it to still drives it. I own a 96 Accord right now and it has 167,000 and I am sure it could go another hundred. My mom just sold her 98 Accord and it had 77,000, but she did not drive distances like I did. If you keep up with your maintenance (not just changing oil, but REAL maintenance), you can go a LONG time. PS- Be sure to wax it, and spot-paint it if you see any "spots" come up....Both my 96 and mom's 98 had clear-coat peeling that started off the size of a quarter and spread like a disease. Honda says it is the paint quality of that generation/ years and they have since changed that for newer models.

My 98 'Lude's got 280m miles on her. Starting to burn oil (5-700 miles per quart) and a slight loss of power, but still running strong. Original clutch too! Martin
