haha, he said gayautoparts. seriously though, why would you want a see through hood...other than for show purposes only.first of all, it's not structurally sound. in order to have a see through hood, the hood itself would just be a piece of plexiglass, or plastic. have you ever looked at the bottom of your hood? if not, you should. see all the metal underneath? that's to keep it structurally sound. then you gotta think of how you're gonna attach it to the car to keep it closed. original latch, or hood pins?secondly, you're gonna have to clean your engine bay. and i mean CLEAN. it's gotta be HELLA spotless, because with a see through hood, i'm assuming you're gonna wanna show off what you have underneath, and dirt and grease aren't exactly what you want to show off.thirdly. people are gonna see what you have underneath your hood. you trying to race, or impress people? unless you have a built engine that will beat even mclaren mercedes', you will be tormented at every light you stop at. by kids in ricers. by kids in duhmestics. by soccer moms in soccer vans. by middle-aged men going through their mid-life crises in convertibles. by senior citizens in luxury cars. by senior citizens in crappy cars. and let's say you do have a built engine. what's gonna stop the jealous and envious ones from taking your precious motor? the hood sure in hell isn't gonna stop it. and you can park it in the garage all night, and out in plain view during the day, but remember, if there's a will, there's a way.but finally, let's say it's JUST FOR SHOW AT CAR SHOWS. you'd have to ask around your local body shops for references. the reason why you can't just find one is because of the reasons i've listed above, mainly because it's unsafe.you might as well just drive without your hood if you really want a see through one.
