High Pitch Noise ??
I have a '98 civic that has not given me any real problems...yet..
It has approximately 86k miles and has begun making a high pitch whining noise. It does not matter if any accessories are on (air/heat etc) It also does not matter if the car is in park, neutral or drive. The noise just comes and goes. What i do notice is that shen i am driving, as the car is topping out at each gear the noise becomes louder and stops once the shift is complete and starts all over again...also my gas mileage is not as good as it has usually been.
