my 04 civic is of course a 4 cyl. and it picks up not too fast so what can i add to make it pick up more speed?and also what can i do to save EVEN more gas?

If you put it on a tow truck you will save a lot of money on gas. Just kidding.It is very hard to give a car more power and better gas mileage. You are going to have to decide on one or the other. If your gas mileage is bad, you may want to start with a basic tune-up. Spark plugs( depending on how many miles are on the car) coil packs, and fuel filter.If you want to go faster that is easy. Get some after market bolt on performance parts. Like an intake and things of that nature.

AEM cold air intake. that will both save gas and make it faster off the line. stock intakes on hondas are horribly restricting. putting a cold air or short ram intake makes the air resistance next to nothing so your motor wont use as much power to suck air

Drive slower and accelerate slower to save on gas.Make sure tire pressure is correct.Keep trunk empty to keep car lighter.To make faster and use more gas:-Cold Air Intake-Exhaust System-Turbo Kit.-ECU Performance chip.

Don't know about saving gas, but if you want it to pick up faster, you have to put an engine in. Hint: you won't find an engine in japan. Only America has engines worth the metal it takes to make them. Japanese engines would be worth more melted down.

add $5,000 plus your car and get a mustang gt with a v-8 engine. Or any car with a v-8 engine guaranteed to pick up and go.

Fast? Just accelerate pedal to metal and shift up after 5500 rpm - that's what I do to get fun out of my 43 mpg 99 Civic HX.

COLD AIR INTAKE. save both gas and get more power. got one for my accord, makes it sound better too.
