Specs: 96 prelude, sohc, automatic, non-vtec
First p/s pump started making a loud squeeking noise. So I replaced it w/ a refurb. and next day same noise but louder. I took it back for a 2nd pump and next day same noise again. I took it to autozone and told them of situation, they said it has to be the alt. then. I told them then why when I take off the p/s belt the noise stops, so why would it be the alt. They said take it to a mechanic. So, I asked for a full refund and bought a 3rd from elsewhere. Same noise hours later after installation. The battery light did flash on seperate occasions, which then might be the alt. But, that doesn't explain for the noise from the p/s pump. Could the hose be partialy blocked or clogged??? That is where i'm at right now, any suggestions??
