A few Q'so all Honda Element LX 2004's come with the AUX option in the dash (next to the lighter spot)? I can't tell from pictures.. Do some Elements come with that option some don't? When did that option first begin? Can it be used for anything other than an ipod? If mine doesn't have that AUX plug-in, is there a way to install it? THANKS!

The 2004 Element had the auxilliary input jack on the EX model only. the 2003 Element did not have the auxillary input jackthe 2004 and 2005 had it on the EX models only. The 2006, 2007 and 2008 owners manuals only say "if equipped" and those owners manuals don't say whether it was part of an audio package option or not but it apparently isn't on all.sorry about the other email answer that was incorrect; I went back and checked after I sent that reply when I remembered the Elements being the first Hondas to have the MP3 jack.hope that helps

I have to disagree with the above poster. My 2003 element ex has the aux jack.It is just a standard mini stereo plug. I imagine you could attach just about any headphone level output to it. We have used it with DVD players, I Pods, etc.Whether or not you could install it would probably depend on whether or not the stereo yours comes with has the input for it. If it does then I would assume you could get the parts from honda.
