I have a Honda Odyssey (2005) and I am looking to increase the power output from 255 HP to about 270-ish. I have heard about Computer Engine Management Chips that cost about $500 and get you that extra performance. How much extra performance would I actually be getting with the new Chip. Also, what chips would be good for this car? Thanks for the help!

It assumes that your exhaust can take out as fast as you can produce. So without good exhaust system, that chip can actually hurt the performance. Also after installing the chip, you maybe required to pump premium fuel (this is required for most of performance cars. Not sure about Honda Odyssey)

First off these "chips" only adjust fuel and timing. Without other mods like a air intake, header(s), and a full exhaust all it will do is make you waste gas. And just so you know the 255 HP is at the crank. It actually only puts down about 230 HP at the wheels. In order to get 270 HP you will need some sort of forced induction like a supercharger or turbocharger. Anybody that tells you these "chips" give you 25-30 HP are morons. The only way to get gains that large is to COMPLETLY have the ECU remapped, or forced induction. Think about it like this, a supercharger give you about 50-60 more HP and costs $3,500+, a cold air intake gives you 2-3 more HP and costs $200. so a "chip" that costs little more than a intake will give you the same gains as a $3,500 supercharger? guess again.
