I have a 2001 Honda Odyssey with about 125K miles. The milage dropped to about 16mpg and an error code of 0420 came on. It would reset itself after several days of driving. When I had it read it was related to a low cat threshold. I had the dealer verify. I then replaced the cat with a after market DEC bolt on. The milage improved from 16 to 19.5 mpg. The only problem was that the check engine light came on again with the same error code. I then replaced the o2 sensors pre and post of the converter and cleaned the carbon build up in ther port where the EGR valve attaches. My milage is still good, the car runs good, but the light still comes on even after clearing the code. Any recommendations?
