I have a 2001 Honda Civic EX and while I am idling at a light it jumps or hiccups. The whole car actually moves. I doesn't cut off. Other then that, it drives well. The check e engine light is not on. I just had an oil change last week. I had a tune up 8 or 9 months ago. My car was involved in an accident in November and the radiator and air condition compressor or condenser was replaced in December, but the noise just started about 3 weeks ago.

There could be many factors but the first thing that comes to mind is your Idle Air Control valve (IAC) and your Air Filter. Your car relies on clean proper air mixture to continue to burn fuel and produce steady combustion during idle.Replace your old Air Filter with a new one inside the Air Element Box. Then detach your IAC valve and remove and clean-out any gunk and dirt build-up against the screen filter with Carburetor/Throttle spray.Your IAC valve is located behind the engine (use a Honda Service manual for detailed reference) and is held by 2 or more bolts, 2 small radiator hoses, and a wire harness. Good luck!

Is the check engine light on? If so you need to have an OBDII scanner connected to retrieve the DTC's or Codes. If no check engine light is present, I would start with your basic tune-up. (Spark plugs, spark plug wires, also a distributor cap and rotor if equipped.) I have never heard of an air filter causing that type of symptom so you can pretty much rule that one out. A fuel filter on the other hand could also be the culprit. Check the things that are listed and go from there. If there is a check engine light, post the code number and I will look it up at work and reply when I have the answer.
