Ok I have a 96 Civic 2dr EX Automatic transmission and the button on the shifter is so fvking hard that I have cramps on my thumb and the palm of my hand. I can barely push it in anymore. Can any PLEASE tell me what I can do to fix this. Has this happened to you or anyone you know? How did they fix it? I REALLY REALLY need anyones help on fixing this. Its really taking over my entire hand....Thanks alot!

put some teflon lubricant on the button and work it in and out,repeat until it loosens up ,it is probably built up dirt or the plastic of the button tightening the space for the button to slide see if you can remove it and clean the opening.
