ok well first of all my car doesnt start. but im not asking about that. after i try to start it, in the engine bay, there is a loud beeping noise. almost like i ring. and it sounds like its coming from the intake manifold, or around that area.and ps, i have a 94 civic. and its a v-tec motor

Its tough to say what the noise is based on your description but if you have it in a bay then I would suggest you check the exhaust shields as those do break the welds on older cars and result in the "ringing" noise. If you have a hoist you can put it in the air and listen from underneath. The noise from the exhaust shield will sound like its coming from higher up.thats the only thing that I can think of off the top of my head. if you can provide more information-what rpm does it happen at? is the noise constant or does it go away at speed?any info will help

Afew things that would make noise in the intake and firewall area would be the priming of your fuel pump which makes a hissing noise as soon as you turn he key to the on position. Also if your trying to crank the motor over and over with no avail it would create pressure inside the motor and when you stop cranking the pressure would slightly leak out from the intake manifold also making a sucking noise.
