Hello everyone, i got a annoying problem with my friends 97 Accord Ex. Its a 5spd, and months ago he was going down the road and then he heard a clicking noise and then it became a clunk so he turned around went back home and took the tranny out. He found that the Pin that held the spider gears actually SNapped! and drove itself through the bell housing. So he got the new parts for the spider gears that needed to be replaced and went ot the junk yard and bought another bell housing. when he put it back together and put it back in the accord, he started it up and notice the car was tryign to drive forward.... in the neutral gear.... 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th were trying to stall i belive.. and 5 and reverse would stall the car or something like that.. we took it out opened it up put it together and threw it in the car again same thing it was driving in neutral as if it was stuck in gear and didnt matter which shift possition you were in... some point after the 4time tryign to put it together we notice the input shaft was at a angle and was grinding against the bell housing. the bell housing seal..where the input shaft went through cracked.. so we got a 2nd used bell housing and noticed the only diffrence between the other 2 were that it had one missing bolt hole which would bolt up to the block of the motor. and maybe some other small detail . other then that it matched up. we slapped it togther with the older tranny case and even without the spider gears we tried to turn by hand and could do it even in neutral.. we changed the shift forks.. and we were able to turn the input shaft by hand while it was all togther but once in gear it was like impossible to turn.. we been scratchign our heads for the last 5months and cant figure it out... he really misses riding his accord. and he cant jsut understand whats he doing wrong, we have shopkey pics and installed all the gears in the correct way but we cant find the missinf lynk that is causing the gears to bind up. HAs any oen had any similar problem with this?? Please let me knwo what you guys did.. We would buy a whole transmisson but after we spent hundreds on 2 diffrent housings and a 2nd case and forks money is very short...???? Thank You

btw the way sorry if it sounds kinda confusings, but it been such a long term repair on just the transmisson itself that i cant remember everythign but ill deff get any information that is needed if you are confused. Thanks
