I know very little so any advice would be helpful.I'm wanting to go all out with performance mods. I'm getting a new well paying job soon and I'll have quite a bit of money to throw into this. I know very little so any help is great. Thanks.

depending on how much power you want to make, theres many different ways to approach modding this car. Not many parts are made for the sohc motor, so swapping for the k series motor is smart if you plan to go all out. If you just want a bit of power, enough to help you whoop up on some people, id recommend cold air intake, comptech and AEM make great ones, Header, catback exhaust and pulleys, and lastly ecu tune or reflash, such as hondata.

The best type of things you can do with the 07 models are doing a swap with a K series. Anything lower than that would be odd. You can go with the K20 engine from the SI model of the 07 or I would like to say a K24 engine from the TSX or take the K20 from the civic and put a K24 head. Either way any K series motor would help out a lot but the K series motor is pretty pricey but if your getting a well paid job that shouldnt be an issue lol. Those SHOC motors wont be good for mods at all and have a higher chance of blowing. My buddie has a 07 civic SI (K20) with only DC headers, Injin cold air intake, and Skunk 2s cams and already pushing about 240hp to the wheels already and dropping a turbo kit soon (not sure what kind) and shooting for over 300 hp and with a few more mods he will be able to hit 11's in a 1/4 mile. So best bet would be any K series motor and if your not to sure what the K series are you can check it on Wiki witch i'll also give a link for and also you can check out forum sites about this and theres one good forum site also i'll link to you and its all about the 8th gen civics.
