better at what?...ok honda has built a reputation based on its build quality, second to none. you will therefor pay more for a honda but it will hold its value so much better than kia...so in say three years when you come to trade in or sell, you will get a better return. honda will not breakdown either, reliability is outstanding, read or browse any survey/report and see where honda come. honda also offer a better specification for your money.

Honda by far!!! Not only are they more dependable, but I think they are styled better and get way better mpg than Kia or at least when I researched the Spectra versus the Civic the honda got better mpg.

Honda.......has established itself in the auto industry as a key leader in the auto industry. They are known for their extremely powerful and efficient four cylinders. At this point in time, the only possible comparison of these two companies that can be made is this one. Kia is like Honda back in the late 70's early 80s. They are just beginning to establish a name for themselves. If you look at consumer reports and JD Power;s PP100 Test, Kia as a company has a higher rated reliability rating than most American cars. For now they are the underdog, but it will only be time before they establish themselves as a key player in the auto industry.

Kias' are a popular option because they are cheaper but Hondas' are much more refined. With a Kia, the engine is usually a bit gruff especially on acceleration and the interior is very much plasticky at times. However, they sometimes do offer a fun ride as their cars are quite light. The fuel economy of Kias is also quite good. Honda has built a reputation on refinement and quality. They place a lot of emphasis on the styling of their vehicles whilst having enough *oomph* factor on the performance end to seduce buyers. In my opinion, Honda at the moment is the better company in terms of creating an overall car that pleases and performs. However, if Kia can resolve a couple of niggling issues such as the overall quality and sometimes soft ride, they would be able to truly compete with the likes of Toyota, Honda and Nissan.

I don't like the name of "KIA"... who wants to be sitting in a "killed in action"...I have had several versions of Honda, Toyota, and one Mazda 626, and so far I like Toyota car better, but I like Honda dealer's service.
