ok so when my car is idle, the rpms keep going up and down, up and down. any idea what this could be? i already replacd the throttle positioning sensor, and the oxygen sensorany other ideas?

it sounds like a vacuum leak to me i had a 1992 honda civic that had the same problem see if there are any lose vacuum lines, it might also be the intake manifold gasket. good luck, also check the timing, it might be a facter

It could be a bunch of different things, but the first thing i would try is bleeding your coolant system. If you get air in your coolant, it can cause your Idle control valves to go haywire. If that doesn,t work, try cleaning your IACV (Intake Air Control valve), which is responsible for keeping your idle steady and consistent. Its really simple to do yourself.
