Tell him to get a sports bike and he won't lose to anyone anytime, for only $25,000 you can get the fastest production sports bike the MV Agusta F4 312 R 0-60 in 2 sec., 193mph. Second of all a Viper is a sports/race car and he probably didn't lose at a race track but at some drag strip where you don't even need to steer, so he shouldn't worry about it as it's not real racing, any shopping cart with a rocket tied to it can win at a drag strip or drag racing.

he feels ashame of his viper.thats what he gets for not having an idea of what the civic has under the hood.should have realize that if a civic wants to race a viper, you oughtta know that the civic has alot of powers.

He is probably feeling ashmed of his Viper. This goes to show that most people underestimate tuners in general. You never know what is under the hood of a Civic ; espesially older model ones like the 90-99 model years. I know a guy who built a 500 horsepower engine and put it in his Civic.

Tell him not to feel too bad...On the scheme of things, Civics are slow, they're built mostly as thrifty, cut-above-entry-level compact sedan/coupes. The quickest factory Civic, the new SI on a good day 'might' crack 6 seconds going 0-60. Any other stock Civic (DX, LX, EX) & from any year will be running slower than 8 seconds (0-60). Keep in mind that Hondas represent the world's largest 'tuner' market, and lots of go-fast parts are available. I've seen a Civic run the 1/4 mile in the 10 second category (YouTube), but that's gotta be with an incredible amount of turbo boost + NOS, and with a racing rebuild of the motor. So sure, there are fast civics out there, but they won't last long between rebuilds. The Viper however (for all of Chrylers' quality issues) is street drivable with verified 0-60 times of around 3.7 sec. (either 'Road & Track', or Car &'Driver'& at the hands of a pro & under optimal road conditions). In other words, stock-for-stock, a Viper will just 'smoke' a Civic something beyond embarrasing!

i know how he feels. he feels like shit. he feels lower then low. and i know this because my 92 crx was dropping low 10s and them little rich kids with their vipers and vettes always said it was a fluke but when i raced them again and they couldnt think of any excusses they came out and said i that they never thought a honda would be putting out so much and they had to give it up for honda. one guy just wouldnt accept it and he almost wanted to cry because i smoked his 2006 z06. we ran like 6 times and he got the jump on me once because i jumped teh light but he didnt pass me down the track.they told me it feels shitty but i told them not to worry about it because my honda was supped up and tuned professionally and i know their cars were stock. i felt bad alittle for taking advantage of them but it felt nice shutting them up. after that we always hang out at the track. i dont race anymore but we always hang out.so he shouldnt feel bad but he prolly does. tell him not to worry he isnt the 1st.

i think he is a girl for buying that car it has a v-10 with 500 horses but he got beat by a honda .there is no fun in buying a fast car its better to make it go fast.maybe he needs to learn how to launch it better
