Exclamation Brake Lights on Accord 1999 DOES NOT work - please help

Dear Honda Accord Community:

I have an Honda Accord 1999, 4Cyl, 2.3 ltrs, 4Drs. I have a problem with the brake lights. All the tail lights works fine, it is just that the the brake light function dos not work when - of course - I step my foot on the brake pedal.

In additional information this car also has a spoiler with a built in third stop light, which also does not work, this time at all, not with the lights on, not with my foot on the brake pedal.

I kindly ask you guys for help in this matter. I would like to thank you inmensly to you in advanced for all the help and support you can give me in this matter. Thank you all

Mendi

Exclamation Re: Brake Lights on Accord 1999 DOES NOT work - please help

I forgot to give you another information that might help you help me in fixing this problem of the brake lights that does not work in my Honda Accord 1999, 4Cyl, 2.3 LTS, 4 Drs.

Ok, on the panel, there is a car's icon that shows which door is open, but also shows you if there is a malfunction with the brake lights. Well this indicator turns on just before I am strating the engine. When the key is in position II or III. I understand this is normal. Also is normal that this indicator turns off if there is no problem with the brake lights and it does, it turns off, whereas it should be on, because all my brake lights functions does not work when I step my foot on the brake pedal.

The tail light functions, works well. I mean, I turn on all the lights, and the red tail lights turns on (except for the spoiler one - as I explained in my last post). The problem here is that when I step my foot on the brake pedal, the lights does not do nothing. This problem also is present even when all the lights are off.

This is a very dangerous situation and I consider that my car as long as this problem exist, cannot go out for the streets, not because of a surely ticket, but because for the rest of the vehicles and traffic.

Please help me out with this problem. And in advanecd, thank you so, so much to all of you
