a civic. its safer, faster and more roomier. plus, if a fourth one manages to come along, you'll still have room for it. You'll have much more fun driving it, and you'll be happy to find that i'll keep its resale value much more than the fit.

I would say the civic. roomy and great gas milage. Not as good as my prius though....

The civic probably has more features for families, however if its a money issue im sure the fit is just fine. They are both really nice.
