yeah its not a great car to have to be honest. better of with a german car or a volvo because they will last. i always have hondas and alphas that i have to fix but i tell them i know i will get more money but its not worth fixing it, its done more then 80K miles and its just worth selling it fast. for something around 10 grand i would go german ie audi a4 money. good luck. i recommend audi a3 to be honest or a new honda. top answer if you like it please lol

Hondas do pretty good up to 200k usually. The reason it seems like cars go downhill after 100k miles is simple. Companies ask their engineers to 'engineer' to 100k miles, meaning they really dont care what happens after 100k miles. This being said, things will start to go wrong, but usually they aren't big problems. Big problems can still happen though

I have a 96 Honda Accord. One piece of advice I can give you is to keep up with the maintenance. Make sure oil changes are done on time, keep up with tune ups, checking your fluids and all that will insure you'll have a great car.. my car is running on 200,000 miles and runs almost new.

Mine is already over 200,000 and still running...but major issues do surface after 100,000 miles so preparing for the typical problems is always a good plan. Some of the major things to watch out for is your clutch pad. Transmission problems can be challenging to fix. This wears out after a long time much like your brake pads. However, brake pads do wear out more often.Next might be the timing belt and pump, the distributor and CV joints boots and the radiator. When you don't change all the liquids, oil and filters as recommended, they also tend to affect other parts of your car. Other things like rubber seals and gaskets eventually wear out as well. This is perhaps common for most cars and models. Repairs after 100,000 miles can almost seem like a never ending battle. Sometimes, the best defense is to continue to educate yourself and learn to fix some of the problems yourself to help keep the repair costs low.Good luck!

My friend had a 1988 accord @ 230,000 miles running good.if u take good care and proper maitnance of your car (oil change, tires rotated and changed, new brake pads, and filters etc.) it should last a longg while. hondas are known to last
