I have a 1993 accord se. The instrument cluster temperature control seems to bind when I try to move it to heat. It sounds like the cable is hitting something.
I'm wondering how to find out where the problem is. Do I have to take the entire dash assembly off, or will the climate control unit itself come off. Any suggestions, or expectations of how to solve this will be appreciated. Tom |

I've searched for and found a number of posts regarding stuck heater cables, but each seems to be a different model.
If someone could give me a hint how to start, I would appreciate that. Best regards, Tom |

I took the glove box off and saw where the cable from the heater dial connects to another. After pushing on this other cable I was able to move the temperature dial to the hot position.
Therefore I suspect the problem is with this second cable. Any ideas what the path is for this cable? Where does it go and what could be the problem there? I would have put my head into the space but it's too big to fit. Tom |
