they check engine light was on so i borrowed a friends scan tool to find out whats wrong. i got something that said p420 which is the code for the front oxygen sensor. i replaced the sensor yesterday and the check engine light went off for a few hours but then turned back on. i used the scan tool again and once again it said the same error front oxygen sensor...what else can i do besides take it to a mechanic.???

i dont know if this will answer your ? but when my hubby pulled my codes after problem was fixed u had to hook it back up to computer & clear out the codes then reset the ses light & i haven t had any more problems

i did clear it after the new sensor was on and about 5 hrs later the light came back on with the same problem. does anyone have any suggestions ?
