What are you dropping at 6 grand,if it is an automatic it's already in gear... I don't understand what your dropping I guess... Do you mean your reving it to 6 grand and neutral dropping it????????? yeah thats hard on them...

This hasn't been mentioned yet, but along with messing up your transmission, you're also messing up your rear brakes as well. Launching any Civic at 6000rpms doesn't help you go faster anyways, so there would be absolutely no reason to do it regardless of whether it does damage or not. You're looking at a very expensive repair in the future, if you continue to do that.
