Default ABS light is now on in my Honda.....?

I've got a '94 Accord V6 and this morning the ABS light came on and stayed on.I've never had that happen before: any know what the cause could be? I'm a little worried since it's winter and the light is for my brake system! Thanks in advance.

You need to have the anti lock breaks checked out. I too have a Honda Accord and had a similar problem. I took it to the Honda dealer and they fixed it... do not ignore your ABS. You'll need them

With the abs light being on that means your abs is disabiled because of a problem.Take it to a shop chances are its a speed sensor or trigger wheel that broke. If you take it to a shop they can hook a scan tool up to it and it will tell them the problem.

the common cause in a honda for this is a defective wheel speed sensor. once the computer senses a failure (usually when you start driving and go above about 4 mph) it will shut down the abs system. you still have regular brakes, but no abs. not really a bad thing. in fact, some people prefer standard brakes in a honda over abs. the front end components on a honda are very flimsy and sometimes when abs activates (going fast and using maximum braking power) you could damage front end components. Actually, you can jumper 2 pins on the diagnostic connector and turn the key on. it will display a series of flashing lights on your instrument panel which you can then look up the error. it will tell you exactly which wheel sensor failed. or you can have someone hook up one of those fancy scan tools and read the code. you can usually find a new sensor at a junk yard for about 20 bucks.
