I have a 96 civic lx, and just noticed yester that my brake light(on the dash) comes on while i accelerate from a stop. When i let off the throttle, it will go off. only happens after im stopped, then in first gear, with throttle open about half-way, accelerating, it will light up, then as soon as i let off the throttle it goes out. The car seems to stop fine, no brake light or problems when i slam the brake pedal. Now what is going on here, im meticulous about these things, any help would be much respected

WELL guess what, i found the answer to my own riddle, it appears that my brakes are worn down, and being so, the brake fluid is also low, just above the min. line so while i accelerated the fluid sloshed around setting off a sensor in the brake reservior, therefore setting off the brake warning light, this is just a sign that your pads need to be replaced soon. Now there are wires coming out of the reservior, cap, which has a sensor to sense the fluid level, when it gets too low, the sensor sets off the light, so if your pads are worn, or if you have a leak, or just low level of brake fluid, the sensor will set the brake light, in my case the sloshing would trip the sensor as i accel.
