Default how can i improve speed and accel on a 91 honda civic si (stock)?
can i clean anything or.. like rig the air intake sumhow?

speed deff getting a new engine would help but that costs too much. Drivetrain system will improve acceleration as well as speed. Also for speed maybe a turbo kit.

air intake and fartcan is the basic stuff then maybe headers and do a little engine rebuild then get all the vtec stickers you can find and put those on you will go so much faster.

Add turbo, Cold air intake, NOS to your car engine.Lower car , remove extra weight , install swaybars.

A couple of pretty inexpensive ways to improve speed and acceleration are either getting a cold air intake for your engine or getting a new exhaust system with anti-reversal headers and straight pipes.

When I had my 1990 Civic Si it had Jackson Racing headers wrapped in heat wrap, a custom straight through exhaust with an Ultra Flow Muffler, and a Jacobs high energy ignition which disabled the car when it was stolen becasue of a secret kill switch (I installed). Pedal to metal driving fun at 28 mpg! It felt fast enough to me!
