Hello all, im looking to buy this car and i had a few questions... If im going to be buying this car cash, how should i approach the dealership in terms of any discounts or what not? Ive never bought a car like this before and im wondering if anyone could give me any tips on how to approach the dealership...And the second half of this question goes to owners of these cars... Is it a good quality car? Ive done some research on it, and it seems like it is... Thanks for all your help...Again, im not putting any of this car on credit, its going to be done via cash... Thanks.

I have a 2006 and yes......Hondas period are GREAT cars....it is the 4th civic i have had....can't find a better quality car I had a 1987 before this with nearly 200 k miles.....it is still running. I passed it on to someone else. I would not buy from dealer myself look for a good used one From and individual those people are welling to wheel and deal. Do your homework first check bluebook prices and the ads with prices listed.

Dont buy used! Post above me doesnt know better.Normaly buying a used Honda is no problem, but this is an 08 Civic Si, most people who buy this car, are buying it because they want to drive fast. So it will be ran pretty hard. When you go to the dealer, dont be excited. Act like you dont care if you get the car or not. If they see that you are excited and anxious, they will know they can take advantage of you.Dont expect to buy the car on your first visit, unless they give you a great deal. Make THEM wait on YOU. Check www.edmunds.com and www.kbb.com for invoice and MSRP. The closer you can get to invoice the better.Dont tell them you are buying with cash until you have settled on the amount you want to spend on the car.As an owner of many Civics throughout the years. I can say, they are great cars. I currently own a 2006 Si, and I love it, as I am sure you will also.

buy one used with less than 20k miles on it an 06-08 they haven't changed much since 2006 I wouldn't buy new from a Honda dealer either do not make the same mistake i did( i had to buy mine new though because i had to get a new car back in late '06 when i got back from Korea so i had no other choice since it was the only car i wanted) Honda dealers are notorious for not taking much off there prices and I cannot blame them for this since they are selling the most reliable cars in America so you're best bet is to go USED these cars have been proven tried and true and even if someone has ran them hard they will still last forever
