I have two 2003 model civics; both sedans, one EX one LX. I bought them for my kids when they were in college. I tell people I didn't buy them new cars, I bought myself piece of mind. They are extremely reliable and will last forever as long as you follow the care and feeding instructions in the owner's manual.both of the 2003's are sedans. There is a noticable difference in power between the EX with the VTEC and the LX wth the standard engine. If you're interested in power and acceleration, go for the EX. the EX also has keyless entry and a sunroof standard which the LX does not.If you're just going around town and want a little better fuel economy get the LX.My kids liked them so much that I got a 2005 coupe for my wife as well. They're simply great cars.hope the helps
