OK my friend wants to swap this engine (J30A1.....3.0 L V6) into his tiny 1993 del sol... I personally dont think it will fit even with hours of fab work i still doubt it will even be close..I have tried to tell him to get a 4cyl V-tec but he simply argues back "the v6 will have more torque than a 4cyl could ever dream of" which i agree is true but the car only weighs like 2300lbs how much do you need. to add on to the lack of space he wants a turbo or "mabe even a twin turbo" nitro and some other stuff i currently cant remember....im gonna stop before your eyes fall out..thanks to any help

First off the V6 WILL NOT FIT if he wants to drive the car. THe firewall would have to me removed and a new custom one made. Then on top of that, the motor requires a rear wheel drive system. And as far as his "v6 will make more torque" thing, hes an idiot. Initially yes it would make more torque, BUT the cost of putting this motor in the Del Sol would be upwards of $30,000, probably more. You are basically going to have to build a complete frame, get new EVERYTHING including electronics, and make the BODY of the Del Sol "fit" on the custom frame. When a engine swap like a B16A, or B18C1 will drop in nicely, add a turbo kit, build the engine for low compression, run 15-18 PSI of boost make 400+ HP and do it for about $10,000. All the while the "friend" is wasting 3-4 years trying to get his V6 swap working.
