Neutral Safety Switch - difficulty starting honda
A few months ago, I was having a hard time starting up my car. I took it to a few repair shops and they thought the problem was a bad starter. Then I took it to Firestone and they diagnosed it as a bad neutral safety switch. Finally, after having the problem for several months, my car refused to start.
Firestone ordered the neutral safety switch, easily installed it in a day and the car is starting up just fine. The neutral safety switch is what keeps the car from starting until you push down on the clutch. I have a 5 speed, manual transmission, 1991 Honda Civic Wagon. Thought I would share this just in case there are others that might have the same problem. posted 1/05/08
