I've searched the forums for an answer... I've got a ex that intermittently has the airbag light come on and stay on until I restart the car. I try to notice what makes it come on and to say it comes on mainly when I for example stop put the car in park, take off my seat belt ... open the door with the car running it comes on sometimes. There isn't any consistency to whether or not it does. There is no jolts to the system in the car or electrical discharge to cause it as I have read can cause this... my car has never been in an accident nor has it had any harness adaptations. The car exceptionally clean and maintained well.

Honda service writer said it could cost up to like $800 to diagnose and repair this but it seems like something I could tackle. I have and obd II I have from using on my xterra but quite honestly this is the first thing ever to annoy me on this car.

ANY thoughts or ideas before I spend countless hours in the service department watching the technicians work on other peoples cars??
