Default How can I find very specific information on a recently purchased '02 Honda Accord SE?

Just bought a used car and there is no backlight for the clock display or on the gear shift. I don't know if these are supposed to be lit and the various Honda blogs that I've searched are not very helpful. There is also nothing in the Owner's Manual - anyone have any ideas?

How about a Honda dealer. Or write to the Honda company and ask them.

the clock has a very small bulb in the back of the clock that burns out with regularity. you can change the bulb yourself by pulling the clock out; its simply held in by clips on the side so if you wrap the end of a screwdriver in a paper towel and use it to gently pry the side of the panel that surrounds the clock and the hazzard flasher switch and the clock should pop right out. You'll need to buy the bulb at the honda dealer; the bulb has a flat screwdriver head; simply remove the old bulb and replace it. the clock panel just presses back in.While you're at the honda dealer buying your clock bulb ask them about the gearshift bulb. I don't know if your asking about the console light or the light on the dashboard that shows what gear you're in. I'm not sure there is a light for the console shifter but there is a light in the center of the dash that shows what gear you are in.hope that helps
