Default Why Honda Civic 2008 has 25/36 mile/galon and 2007 model has 30/40 mile /galon.the same

with Toyota Corolla?

The way mileage is calculated has been updated. The old system was developed in the 60's. The new system takes more into consideration, such as driving with the AC on. Most vehicles are showing a reduction in estimated MPG.

Its not just the Honda Civic its the entire auto industry. The federal government changed the method of measurement. What your seeing now is much more accurate. Before tests were done by static test now its more of a road test.

The EPA updated its fuel economy ratings to give a more realistic rating on how people drive these days (aggresively). If you drive slow on freeways and don't hit the gas pedal hard when accelerating, you should get around the 2007 gas mileage rating.
