I currently own a 2000 V6 EX Accord Coupe @ about 138k. It was shifting kind of rough for a couple days then the check engine light came on. I take it in for diagnostics and it read coils 1, 2, 4, 5 misfire. The guy then told me a major tune-up should do the trick. Well, now my car is driving like it has too much power, when I begin to brake it slows down but then pops forward like it wants to shoot off. And still, the check engine light comes on a couple days later. I take it back to ol' boy and it is still saying coils misfire. Well, needless to say I left that guy to go to another one and he said I need to replace all of the coils. Oh, and I need my transmission serviced soon too,,,, nice.
I just need to know if this coil thing is something I can get done myself because $600 is more than I can shell out just now. I am having to drive a rental because I do not want to ruin my car further.
Please, someone, advise....
