Honda's are better on gas, but Camry's are better on quality. My mom hardly has problems with hers. Hondas don't last long.

You need to compare equivalent cars. Price is going to be a factor here since the Camry is a mid size and the Civic is compact. The Camry is a POS. The Camry and the new Tundra are responsible for Toyota's down trend in quality lately. The Camry is a perfect example of them trying to get by on the name and perceived quality behind it instead of making good cars.Honda has a horrible habit of refusing to pay for things that are defects or just poor design (search for Accord Transmissions), but it would still be the better choice out of these if youre ok with a compact. Honda has had better success with new designs than Toyota has had with the last two versions of the Camry.

You should get a new Camry. The Camry is a bigger car and much more comfortable than a Civic. It has a lot more room than a Civic. Also, God forbid, If you ever happen to be involved in a serious accident, there is a greater chance that you would be seriously injured in a compact Civic than in a midsize Camry. It is very reliable as well, and with the V6, much more powerful than a Civic.

the 3 answers above all suck. you can't go wrong with either, it just depends on what you are looking for. obviously, if you want a 6 cylinder or a roomier vehicle, you have that in a camry. if you want a small car that gets great mileage, go for the civic. both are offered in hybrid models. the civic hybrids are selling fast now because the tax deduction on the toyota prius is phased out.

You shouldn't be comparing the Camry with a Civic you should compare it with the Accord and compare the Corolla with the Civic. But anyways the civic is sportier and cooler to me.

It depends on what kind of car you need. Do you need a big car or a small car? The civic gives better Fuel economy since its a smaller car as well. Consumer Reports took off the Camry V6 for its reliability. So I'd just get the Base Camry if you needed the bigger Vehicle. Then again Consumer Reports are pretty biased. Toyota cars are still pretty reliable. The civic would be cheaper if your looking for an affordable car. And of course the Camry is more powerful since it is the bigger vehicle. So it all depends on what you need and what you can afford. I myself perfer the civic, but I do like the Camrys new design.

Look into the 2008 Honda Accord coupe, you might like that...its comparible to the Camry. If you want really good gas mileage though, definately get a civic, they are excellent on gas. Camry is a nice car too, i've had a chance to see/drive all of them, id say #1 would be the 08 accord, then civic, then the camry. I don't hate any of the 3 cars, but the camry's interior strikes me as cheap and the Accord & Civic are built with good quality, and no big problems have really been reported, they seem to have fixed any tranny problems to old accords where having too.

Honda Civic is a lot better than the Camry. It has a better powertrain and fuel economy.

I have 2007 Honda Civic SI It has 197 horse power and can go as fast as you want. The reason I bought a honda is because it drives like the car only weighs 50 lbs honda is about the driving experince. I had a 1994 civic si for 14 years and never had to repair it once. I would like to improve the seats with a lumbar support and in Canada they come with electric mirrors (si model). When the VTEC engine kicks in at about 5500 rpm it is like a kick in the pants and the car just wants to fly, the problem is keeping to the speed limit. I have had toyota's before and found them to be very reliable but they always drove like they were heavier currently I have read reports that toyota fit and finish is not great my vote is for honda but you should buy what you like you will enjoy it more If you want a camary I would check the honda accord
