I have no idea about cars but I figure I would post here anyway...
Last week I started my car and the fan that blows out the air in the dashboard was not working. I called the garage for an appointment and when I started my car the next day to drive it to the garage it all of a sudden worked again. It worked fine for a few days and stopped working again for s hort bit but popped on again while I was standing at a traffic light, and now it is off again?? Could this be a fuse problem? or should I take it to the garage? Is it bad to keep driving even if the fan isn't blowing? Will it overheat my engine? Any advice fir this noob girl is highly appreciated ![]()

The heater fan has nothing to do with keeping the car cool, just with keeping you warm.It will not hurt the car and cause it to over heat. With the fan working on and off it sounds like a switch problem. If the fan only worked on one speed then i would say it is a resistor problem.Mark
