It all depends on what you want your car to do.If you are looking to have the car haul loads of building materials do not get the CR-V. If you are looking for the most gas stingy commuter vehicle do not get the CR-V.If on the other hand you are looking for a good safe vehicle that will give you the stability and safety you need for moving a family and all the gear that goes with a family the CR-V is a great choice.Seating for 5 with comfortable seats, Lots of comfort items and a durable reliable engine with the best balance of power and economy you will have to look to find a better vehicle. There are many vehicles in the crossover SUV market. My suggestion is to determine what you want the car to do for you and then go see and drive each one to see which one suits your needs the best.Don't fall for the old "what do I need to do to make you drive home in it today" line. Better yet when you go looking, leave your checkbook and everything except your drivers license at home so you will not be tempted.See and drive the choices and get the information and take it home and make your decision in the next day or so after you have had time to process which one is best for you.

Just bought a new 2007 CR-V, and like it very much. Compared it to Ford Escape, Subaru Forrester and Outback. It drove better than any of those, it's one of the safest vehicles on the road. I don't like the brightness of the headlights on low beam, and the other models seat folding options are a little more flexible. Just read the posts here about the CR-V, they are very accurate. Good idea to drive it overnight if possible, and compare it to other similar models, because it is a car that you could fall in love with at first sight. If audio features are important to you, the NAV model with the 270 watt sound system is a major plus. Speech recognition and the navigation itself are great too. Honda really got it right with this car.
