Default CR-v Headlight bulb clip removal

Sorry for the simple question, but can someone tell me how to remove the headlight clip that holds in the HB2 type bulb on a 2007 CR-V?

Talking Re: CR-v Headlight bulb clip removal

I have a 2005 and I assume the procedure is similar. Look up the diagram in your owners manual. If I had to do it again, I would put a bandaid or tape on my index finger cause pushing on the release spring hurts after a while. Basically you will feel the end of the spring which is in the shape of a circle. You will push on this away from you and toward the front of the car far enough that it releases and you can remove the bulb holder. Have a few swear words at the ready cause you'll need them. I'm sure the dealer has a tool that makes it real easy....Good Luck

Default Re: CR-v Headlight bulb clip removal

Thanks for your answer, when I tried to get the bulb out, the clip wouldn't release easily, so I was reluctant to pull it the wrong way, which is how is usually goes. Break it... then fix two things. I ended up using a mirror so I could see what to do. I saw a screw which holds the clip in place and almost tried to unscrew it. Then just pressed on the other side of the clip and it came loose. The other side (drivers side) looks alot tighter and will probably result in some scrapped knuckles. Thanks again for your reply.
