I got a 98 Civic that I was wanting to do a front end conversion on but had some questions befor buying any parts. To convert it to the 99-00 front end, are new headlights needed or are the headlights the same? Can you put an SI grill on the 98 bumper or do you need the 99-00 bumper for that? Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.I'm not asking if I should do it or not, or what the difference looks wise is, I know what I like as far as looks go I just want to know what parts are interchangable and which ones arent. For instance, can you use a 99-00 front bumper with 96-98 headlights and vice versa, and same question with an SI grill.

I wouldn't change the front bumpers because they are kind of the same. The difference is the middle section on the si front bumper has a h symbol and the rest is open. Also unless you are looking for aftermarket clear or blacked out headlights I wouldn't change the ones you have.Yes ALL parts are interchangable. 96-00 coupe

No. If you are planning to Convert. You Must Convert the Whole Front End....You Need 99-00 Fenders99-00 Headlights99-00 Grill99-00 Front Bumper99-00 Hood...I have so many friends whos done it.. BUT! one of them Did use a 96-98 Hood on his conversion... You'll have to Cut the Front of the hood where it touches the grill and the Headlights... If your going for a Black hood.. Its okay... cause you wont see it much... but other colors... NO!
