Most people take advantage of the short gearing offered by the h22/h23 shorter geared trannys. I assume since you have an f22b2 you must have a 94-97 accord. Check out www.cd5tuner.com, this site will be the most helpful for any theory or modification to you car, motor, and transmission.- edit - Any F or H series transmission will be interchangeable. As are most of the of the other parts for these engines. Also you will need to figure out if it's an auto or manual block. You can check by finding out the bore of the throttle body. If it is the same size as the h22 tb then it is manual. If it is smaller it is an auto. That should help with future decisions for the transmission. Also, finding internal parts to rebuild this motor (if needed) in the United States will be very difficult. Probably need a connect over sea's. Good luck

as far as transmissions go, ^ dude is right, any h or f series would work. as for manual/ auto, it depends on what you want. if you have auto, and want manual, then you will need a manual transmission, and a flywheel. if not, just use your stock parts, the blocks would be the same, h and h, and f and f. you can use an h trans with a f motor, and visa versa.
