I am thinking of buying a NEW civic si, and I heard they are hard to find. Would the dealer have to order one for me? If so, how long would that take? And would I expect to pay sticker price, higher than sticker, or could I negotiate lower?

since its a relatively new car, its easy to get but it may be sold out. Cars like the delorian are hard to find.If the dealership is sold out, you should be able to order it (much better since you can actually choose different options and colors). The civic should take 2weeks to a month at most Most to come in. When a car is hot, as in everyone wants to get it, a dealer would take advantage and bump the price up. best bet is to find a reputable honda dealership and research on how much the car should cost with different options. This is because sometimes dealerships put aftermarket wheels and pinstrips and what-not. They add thousands of dollars to the price which is totally unjustifiable.If you do get the SI, you would love the motor. the k20z3s are pretty potent. With a Raceheader, Intake, Exhaust and hondata, you will have a pretty quick car.

Not really difficult to find. But you will have to be on a waiting list for most of dealers. And don't expect to get any discount on the car because if you don't want to buy it, the dealer has no problem offering to the person next in line.
