It is true, Hondas of this vintage do have igniter/distributor problems at times. Remove the distributor cap and check for a brown dusting or rust on the inside of the cap...if it is dirty under the cap you have a bad bearing in the distributor and the entire assembly should be replaced. It could also be a bad coil or an igniter...both of these items are internal in the distributor of this vehicle.Scour a junkyard for a 1.5l 1992 through 1995 OBD1 distributor, replace it and your problem will most likely be solved. Or check on Ebay for "distributor king" he sells good cheap reman distributors.
