Huge problem on those handas with ignitor/cdi box failing. If the coil has good power and ground this may be the problem.

It is true, Hondas of this vintage do have igniter/distributor problems at times. Remove the distributor cap and check for a brown dusting or rust on the inside of the cap...if it is dirty under the cap you have a bad bearing in the distributor and the entire assembly should be replaced. It could also be a bad coil or an igniter...both of these items are internal in the distributor of this vehicle.Scour a junkyard for a 1.5l 1992 through 1995 OBD1 distributor, replace it and your problem will most likely be solved. Or check on Ebay for "distributor king" he sells good cheap reman distributors.

If it has fire coming out of the coil but is really weak it is most likely the coil
