Default Who whould win? Honda Accord Sedan 2008 vs. Toyota Corolla sedan 2008?

I watched a video and the Honda Accord Sedan 2008 beat the Toyota 'Camry' sedan 2007. But i want to know who would win if it was the Honda Accord Sedan 2008 vs. the Toyota "Corolla" sedan 2008. ( its corolla, not camry)And please dont pick toyota corolla as winner JUST because it uses less gas. Thanks for replies. Also give me the answer, not your opinion. I want to know which one IS better, not just in your opinion. Also give me the answer, not your opinion. You are not comparing two comparable vehicles. The Accord is comparable to the Camry, not to the Corolla. Obviously the Accord is going to 'win', simply because it's a larger car, offers more amenities, better ride and costs about $8-9K more than does a Corolla. The Corolla is also a very fine car IN ITS CLASS. It's just smaller than the Accord and offers less, since it COSTS a lot less. Why on earth are you trying to compare two unsimilar automobiles ?

okay, this isnt a really good comparison, an accord would compare with a camry but anyways......1) the corolla comes with only a option of the1.8l 4cyl engine while you have the option of the 2.4l 4cyl engine and a 3.5l 6cyl engine in a accord.2)the price is a huge difference, the MRSP for the corolla LE is about $16,000 and the MRSP for the accord EX $25,0003)the gas isnt that much different the corolla gets 26/35 (city/highway) and the accord gets 21/31i mean overall the cars are totally different so if you need a bigger sedan you are better off getting the accord in my opinion i would definitely have to say the accord is better!

my husband drives many cars (as rentals) he just drove a Corolla..he said it was a nasty little cheap car...(his words, not mine...)I'd go for the Accord, reliability, bigger engine, better tires, better interior...

The Corolla has 138HP and the Accord has 177HP. The Accord would definately win. The Corolla was not built for any kind of speed. That is why they were never used as tuner cars.

What do you mean by "win"? Speed? Roominess? Cost of Ownership? Depends on what you want. As other posters have mentioned, the Corolla and the Accord are two cars that are in different classes. They're both pretty well built, but serving different needs. If you want roominess, more cargo space, creature comforts, smoother acceleration and ride, go with the Accord, as it is a larger car (and equivalent to the Corolla's bigger brother, the Camry). The Corolla is more economical on fuel, easier to park due to its smaller dimensions, and less expensive to maintain and fix overall. They're both winners as far as sound cars - they've historically had good reliability and decent resale value. The only question is which car is better for your needs.

Can you check 86 honda civic compression by taking out spark plug (with no timing belt present) and turning motor over and your finger over the hole,
will this want to blow your finger away indicating compression. The inlet and exhaust valves are also closed( tappet cover off )
