Default is there any performance difference between the f20c and f22c engines?

or are they very similar in terms of acceleration and max speed? the old s2k's have the f20c and the new ones have f22c, is there any much performance difference between the two? they're both different engines but will the s2k's perform difference or are they similar in power?

The F22C1 came in the newer version of the S2000 and has a shorter redline of 8000RPM isntead of the F20C's 9000RPM. This is actully better, feels torquier.Rated torque increased from 153 ft·lbf (207 N·m) at 7500 rpm for the F20C to 162 ft·lbf (220 N·m) at 6200 rpm for the F22C. However, redline was reduced to 8000 rpm and power output is rated identical to the F20C.The F20C was designed with high maximum RPM in mind, for increased power output; redline is at 8900 rpm, with VTEC engagement at 6000 rpm. Power output is 240 hp.The F20C's bore is 87 mm and stroke is 84 mm.The F20C produces the highest specific power for any naturally aspirated piston engine in a car worth less than US$100,000, at 120 horsepower (89 kW) per liter, ahead of the 1.6L Honda B16B engine found in the 1996-2000 Honda Civic Type R (Japan only) producing 185hp (137kW) for a specific power of 115.8 hp/L.In 2004, Honda produced a stroked (to 90.7 mm) version of the F20C, increasing displacement by 160 cc to (nominally) 2.2 L. You can tell one apart by the color of the spark cover. F22 is yellow and the F20 is black.
