its on my remote that locks and unlocks my door but i dont know what the button does. I checked the cars manual but there's nothing in there about it. I've pressed it but that doesn't do anything. Anybody know wat it does. Its only on one of my remotes the other remote doesn't have it.

there are two possibilities. I'm assuming you bought the car used because its a little late in the life of the car to be asking this question if you are the original owner. My guess is that at some point in time one of the remotes was lost and then replaced with one that works but has additional features. If your car is an LX model it had a keyless entry available as an accessory and on that accessory it only worked the doors; on the EX with the orignial keyless entry I believe there was an extra button to open the trunk. So the probabilitiy is that someone replaced one of the remotes and the extra button is the one for the trunk that doesn't have a remote actuator on your car.the other possibility is that it is the Panic feature. that mode only works if you sit in the car with the doors locked and hold down the button for 3 seconds. That will trigger the horn to beep just as it would if the alarm was going off. Try sitting in the car with the doors locked and hold the extra button down. if the alarm goes off, its the panic button.hope that helps answer your question
