What can I do to make my 2001 Civic look sleek, not stupid...?

Whatever you do - don't put a spoiler on the back!

get a sweet body kit. not a big sh*ty looking cheap one. something that makes it look fast and not something that looks like a wannabe gangsta did it.

Stay away from bumper stickers or stickers of any kind. Do not embellish the outside with antenna-balls or funky hood ornaments. Stick to basic 1 or two color theme, that goes for the interior also. Having consistent color patterns and nothing pulling the eye away, such as a sticker or mismatch seat covers. These will distract from the linear look of the car. Go with neutrals, or primary colors. Stay away from neon's and stark contrast.

a conservative body kit, stock or "normal" paint job, light tint on rear windows, NOOOOOOO spoiler, 17" silver painted rims, and do the exact opposite of what a 17 year old tells you to do

try to stay away from body kits all together. shave the badges and fill in the rain rail on the roof. get it lowered by about an inch and a half and get the mirrors matched to the paint color of the car. if you can, get the side molding shaved and if you do any body mods make them subtle, like getting a set of lips for the front and rear. also, there is a spray on kit that lets you black out the tail lights. as far as the interior goes, the sky is the limit. try to stay away from big purchases like seats or dash conversions. the same goes for the exterior. small purchases. you can get the roof and side moldings shaved for cheap and painted to match. oh, and STAY AWAYS FROM VINYLS AND SPOILERS.

First of all don't get chrome tail lights, Big spoiler, loud muffler ( the ones that sound like your going 50mph on 1st gear). A stock wing is the best option if you dont want the trunk to look empty. r33, r34, bmw and all other bodykits will look terrible unless your willing to follow the theme throughout. dont color tint it!!! or put stickers of the brands you have on it. paint them if you really want em. rims... well you decide, that really its up to what you like and dislike. drop it a few inches. Angel eye headlights look great on Hondas. On the interior nothing fancy. as long as you feel comfortable in it thats all you need.
