does a cold air intake gain hp for 2007 honda accord 4cyl?

Nothing significant. Its not really worth the money buying performance parts for an economy car.

Without any other modifications the gains will be very minimal. Some companies claim up to 15-20HP gains on just the CAI but I dont believe it. I bet you will get 1-6hp gain, maybe see a tiny difference in fuel economy and it may make engine sound a little louder.And I do not agree with the 1st answer saying it's not worth modifying this car. I believe that the 07 Accord's 4 cylinder is the K24 engine, which is rated around 200HP and is a very, very popular engine to modify and is Honda's newest tuner favorite. I have seen in magazines cars that have this engine and are pushing 400HP and more, and getting insane 0-60mph and 1/4 mile times, so go for it man!!

yes, anytime you add a cold air intake you will gain some hp. but unless you are getting it given to you or it is dirt cheap dont bother with it. You can find other bolt on's that will increase hp more significantly.

Actually with the K-series engines, you can see quite a bit of power from a cold air intake. They respond better to modifications than the D/B/F/H-series engines. I've actually seen dyno sheets that did in fact show upwards of 10-12whp gains, something that could never be claimed with the other Honda/Acura engines (with a few exceptions). Personally I would go with Injen, if they make them for your car, that seems to be one of the best intakes for the K-series.

yes it would be worth it, it helps in performance and fuel economy. somebody said 15-20 hp. claims. that is true, that hp. claim is at the flywheel, not at the wheels, you might notice difference in the power band, but nothing extravagant. the benefits are greater if you get header and exhaust to go with the cold air intake.
