Default Any new hondas?..what you think about my ideas?..?

First I wanted to ask if there's going to be any new remakes of any old models. I heard a rumor about the new CRX but not so sure how true that is. Will they even produce something lighter, stronger and more fuel effecient? Any new 08,09,2010 models rumored to come out??Okay what you think of this idea for the new CRX.6spd 2.2 liter DOHC 4cyl with i-VTEC, 350hp N/A with 260 tq. While maintaining to weigh under 1800lbs.Since Americans can build something like the Z06, why dont the Japanese build something just as power with a 4 cylinder while keeping the weight and sizing down dramatically? I know Japanese is all for fuel effeciency, but I mean come on..I'm sure they can pull it off..so why not just pull through with an idea like that? I'd love to pull a 4 cylinder Japanese car off the lot brand new that just came out and test drive it around without having to do a swap or tuning it to run 11s or so for the quarter.I'd love to own a 4cylinder Japanese car that is all motor 'straight from the lot' that came out the company ment to run 11s or 10s with a N/A engine and still get 30mpg or better. Now that would be crazy! Japanese are smart! they should be able to come up with something like my crazy impossible ideas.Yea I already know what you're saying Curve. But You can always upgrade the engine if it comes strong N/A. Yea building cars are fun, but it would be even funner to build something that is aleady fast. I like 4cyls because of how strong you can push them to beat other cars and you don't have to worry about a downside of things (weight). More fuel effecient also. Saves gas. But I would like to be the first owner of a BRAND NEW car that is already fast..and I'm talking 4cyl that is. Not 6,8,10, or 12. Just my opinion though."Oh, they already do though. Not cheap though.Acura/Honda NSXNissan GT-RToyota - none. Incase you can't tell, they like to be conservative."Aren't you a smart one?? I clearly listed 4cylinder..not 6,8,10 or 12..it clear says! don't you people ever F^ckin read now a days?!...wow I bet you feel stupid now buddy. NSXs and Skylines have 6 cylinders incase you didn't know..

I know what you're getting at. I used to be a car guy(import racer) too. Car companies know the value of fast production cars. Thats why they are so expensive. Think Acura NSX. It would be better to build one yourself if you really want a crx with a 2.2 vtec. Imagine having a speedy car, but not being able to upgrade anything because your car and insurance payments are so high. There is no reason why you can't build the car you desire for under $5,000.You can get 10s in the quarter by getting yourself a sportbike. http://www.myspace.com/curvesound

It almost seems like you know wat your talking about but 350hp and 260ft/lbs, no forced induction and under 1800lbs??? If that were possible it would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. BTW...its not possible out of any mainstream car factory. Honda has the best power to displacement ratio, but that is 240hp out of a 2.2L with under 200ft/lbs of torque.

Well since Honda doesnt make the H22 2.2 liter no more we could look at the better K motor 220 Type R k20 6-speed tranny like the ones in Japan. Weight would prob be 2200-2400lbs and run a good mid 14's car but Honda wouldnt have a faster car then there more expensive S2000, TL type S or Civic Si. A NA 350HP Honda would need to be strickly for drag racing, that high comp and cams to run that comp will be insane for everyday.A k24 tsx motor 6-speed tranny in an EG hatch 1992-1995 intake and exhaust light tune slicks ran high 12's a daily driver topsetup you tube them. Boost on 7-8psi hit high 11's my friend SOHC vtec D16Z6 turbo del sol ran 11.8 spinning his slicks in 2nd thats fast as a Z06 new one, and his car only cost $7000.If you look at this way the Honda S2000 Ap1 2000-2004 2.0 120Hp per liter NA compare to a Camaro or Cobra 4.6 320-5.7 310. S2000 motor if it came in a V8 forum would put out over 650HP in the same liter forum as a Camaro does. Sick.
